Jeff Cooper joined the Michaelson Law team in 2022. He is both an attorney and a CPA, which allows him to provide a multi-faceted approach to complex legal and tax issues. Jeff’s primary focus is on estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals (especially business owners) and on sophisticated corporate transactions. Jeff began his legal career in Washington D.C. before returning to his home state of Nevada.
In 2017, Jeff graduated from the George Washington University Law School, where he was a Presidential Merit Scholar and a Faye & Sheldon Cohen Scholar (Tax Law). During law school, Jeff gained valuable business-related experience as a law clerk at the Department of Labor and at the Small Business Committee of the U.S. Senate.
Prior to attending law school, Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho, where he studied financial economics and accounting. During and after his undergraduate studies, he also worked as a project manager for an economic development center, where he managed and performed business research projects to assist municipalities and businesses throughout the region.
Jeff is a 5th generation Nevadan and a graduate of Moapa Valley High School. Jeff served a two-year LDS mission in Australia and enjoys playing chess, experiencing the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
