Natalie Burns is an associate attorney at Michaelson Law. She is a native to Las Vegas and a cum laude graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She went on to pursue her law degree at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in Provo, Utah. She received the J. Reuben Clark Law School’s first ever distinguished clinical service award for her work in Juvenile criminal law.
Prior to joining Michaelson Law, Natalie has worked in the areas of criminal and social security/disability law. Her interest in estate planning began in law school as a research assistant, editing and revising a trust law casebook. She was further drawn to elder law as she experienced firsthand the need of estate and long-term care planning as a caregiver for her mother, who suffers from dementia.
Natalie’s practice areas include basic and advanced estate planning, asset protection, trust administration, elder law, probate, and business law. Her favorite and primary focus is estate planning, as she enjoys helping individuals and families plan and prepare for life’s eventualities. She loves the “counseling at law” aspect of being an attorney and is empathetic to her client’s often difficult circumstances of dealing with a loved one’s illness, disability, or death.
She is passionate about helping others and enjoys serving in her church. Natalie is married and has two beautiful daughters. She enjoys cooking, baking, country dancing, biking, walking, scuba diving, Disneyland, and family vacations. She is licensed in both Nevada and Utah.
