Matthew Whittaker

Matthew Whittaker is an associate attorney at Michaelson Law. He began practicing law in Nevada in 2013. Prior to joining Michaelson Law, Matthew began his legal career clerking in the Appellate Unit of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office writing extensive appellate briefs for a wide variety of cases from minor crimes to complex death penalty cases.

A proud native, Matthew has spent most of his life in Nevada. His family moved to Sparks, Nevada when he was 2 years old before settling in Las Vegas. Matthew left home to attend college at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He receive a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science in 2010. Afterwards, he returned home and received his law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV.

After graduating from law school, Matthew jumped into private practice, earning significant experience in many areas of law including business, real estate, civil litigation, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy. He has a very strong background in handling lawsuits of all varieties from start to finish, and representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters. His well-rounded background gives Matthew a unique ability and perspective to dissect legal issues and solve problems for his clients.
